According to my fiancee: BOTH units are beautiful and I would stay in each again. However, just for your information, my comparison between the two: Ekahi has a shaded lanai; Kapili has hot afternoon sun on the lanai. I would have thought I would prefer the sunny lanai, but after spending a hot day at the beach, I now realize the shaded lanai was preferable. Ekahi had a bathtub, which I missed at Kapili. Could be important information for people with babies. Ekahi had better washer and dryer. Ekahi had A/C. While you could get a breeze going through Kapili with the doors open and fans on, it was still a little muggy at times. At Ekahi, we were only disturbed by landscapers once or twice. At Kapili, the landscapers thatched, sprayed (which resulted in blue dye on our feet!), weeded and pruned every single morning. Kapili was stocked better as far as paper towels, Kleenex, coffee (very appreciated), and cooking supplies. Toilet paper ran out and we would have appreciated bar soap, but those are small items. I missed the candles that we had at Ekahi when in Kapili. Another small item. Both units had very comfortable beds. Pillows were nicer at Ekahi. Appreciated the boogie boards at Ekahi, but Kapili had better beach chairs.

We absolutely loved it here! From the huge living area to the very well equipped kitchen to the wonderful patio area with view everything was just perfect. And although we didn't rent from the main property rental company on site, they still were very friendly and allowed us to use their tennis raquets and rent movies. We rented a couple that were filmed on Kauai. They helped us find the grocery store too. I would definitely recommend this place to others!

We so enjoyed our stay in your spacious Kauai condo. The grounds of Poipu Kapili are gorgeous and the beautiful pool only steps from the condo was delightful. We loved its location next to the Sheraton and enjoyed a Pina Colada and the show most every evening. Our sincere thanks! Mary and Barrett Worthington P.S. The repair of the door to the Lanai will make it all the more pleasant.

We have just got back from our stay at Poipu Kapili #39 and we were very impressed. The condo was very generously sized, with superb facilities, and a beautiful location. What really made the difference were the numerous little touches that had been made to ensure that our stay was superb. Its the little things that make a stay special and the feeling that the proprieters care, and we certainly got that impression. Our stay at Poipu Kapili was magical and one that we will never forget. All we have to figure out now is when we can return! Thank you so much for an amazing time. Paul & Angela (UK)

We loved the location - easy walk to beaches yet tucked away and a wonderful place to catch the sunset. Beautiful grounds. The size of the condo allows for comfort. We had plenty of room to spread out. Having 2 bathrooms is a real plus. The furnishings are very nice and welcoming - they don't look dated and worn out. Nice supply of bath towels as well. I really appreciated that there was plenty of garbage bags, dish soap, dishwasher soap, etc. I've stayed places that don't provide extras - I find that very cheap. Thank you! A few small things I would add would be a few more hot pads, some dish rags, and perhaps a few extra beach towels. I found the roosters annoying, but I guess you can't fix that! We just kept the bedroom doors closed at night and left the fan on. I noticed what looked like an air condition unit in the bedroom, but we found the fan kept things plenty cool. The cross breeze when the lanai and bedroom doors were open really helped keep the condo cool as well. We loved our visit and having such a beautiful place to stay always makes our trips to the islands that much more enjoyable. Thank you! Katie McBride P.S. When we did need anything, Bill and Kay were fabulous!

Very nice accomodations with all the amenities. More space than we needed. A bit 'stuffy' for our taste.

We're a family of four adults from New Zealand who stayed at Poipu Kapili #39 from 30 July until 7 August 2008. We had the most wonderful stay at the condo. It was spacious, clean, peaceful, extremely well-equipped and in a beautiful setting. The pool was a stone's throw away and when we weren't at the beach close by, looking at turtles or exploring the island, we were relaxing there. We cooked at the condo most evenings and bought our groceries from Big Save in Koloa Old Town. We would definitely stay at Poipu Kapili #39 again and highky recommend it if you are thinking of staying on Kaui'i.

We liked to stay at Poipu Kapili #39! Some guests said that need A/C, but we don't need it and enough to comfortable with ceiling fans. There are everything what we want items, especially at the kitchen. If I would say for requests... mosquito sticks and body boards will be consider to provide here. We would like to come back again in near future! Thank you Jim! Mariko

We stayed here for 4 nights. The condo is very nice and spacious. The grounds of Poipu Kapili are also very nice. The location is also very good. The condo was also within walking distance of the beach. It's about a 7-10 min walk. We also had a very nice view of the ocean. Now for a couple of things we thought could use some improvement. There is a/c in the bedroom only. We knew that most condos do not have a/c at all because the tradewinds are so prevalent. This wasn't the case when we stayed there which made it very hot in the living area. There were also painters that were directly in front of the condo lanai for 3 straight days which gave us no privacy from 8-5 each day since we had to keep the door open because of the heat. We know this was something that was scheduled and had to be done, but it was an inconvenience nonetheless.

We enjoyed our stay at Poipu Kapili #39 very much. Most of what we needed was available to us. Our only concern was that the Emergency Kit was seriously lacking. The power went out the last night we were there, but the flashlight didn't have any batteries - it didn't even have a bulb in it! The four tea candles that were provided were halfway gone, so it was difficult to light them. Thankfully, the Resident Manager (Kay) let us borrow a flashlight. Other than that we were happy. Thank you again.
